The Issue

In some files when pandoc converts to markdown the generated md file does not reference image files properly it replaces it with caption sometimes.

Its a issue with pandoc itself refer : jgm/pandoc#3752

The extension rebase_relative_paths is not supported for latex which was the proposed solution above
