Is underscores still valid?

Love underscores, but with the release of WP6 and all the advances in blocks over the last few releases is underscores still a valid starter for theme development? Thanks!

I wouldn't trust it w blocks. But it shoud still be a solid foundation for classical design

Thanks for the reply jwr, it's kind of what I assumed. Just not sure how long classical design will remain a valid approach.

Have you seen https://github.com/gregsullivan/_tw by @gregsullivan . It has support for blocks, based off underscores and has built in support for Tailwind. Also you can easily install JavaScript packages with npm as he has esbuild setup.
