Thank you. |
@AndyTandy You may want to try the extension in Pale Moon rather than keep an unsupported browser that won't receive any security patches. It's probably not safe to keep using Fx 56. Support for PM was recently added. #113 |
Yes, thank you for updating this awesome addon! I was looking at moving to Pale Moon from Firefox 52.9 ESR (OSE is the biggest reason I'm still on it). What's the latest version of Pale Moon that will work with this addon and roboform? And is there a way to export the search engines set up on firefox ESR onto Pale Moon (I assume the addon will only work with Pale Moon Classic)? Thanks. |
I don`t know which latest PM version still work with OSE. I have migrated to the latest version of firefox and am using OSE2. |
Hi Baton34,
I made an account just to thank you for your extension. I also read your reply in the other thread where you sadly confirm that this extension won't be ported to FF57.
I guess that means there goes my absolute last thread of connection with Firefox. I would have long given up on FF since the original Organize Search Engines add-on stopped working on 64-bit FF. But I found your fork through some comment on Reddit (or someplace) & that is what made me stick with Firefox longer.
Now that FF57 screws up everything with OSE & is behaving more like (or worse than) Chrome, I see no reason to stick with FF anymore. I had begun using Chrome almost 40% of time & 100% on Android anyway.
I am not sure I want to invest time & effort in testing other FF forks. Hence, I will stick with FF 56.0.2 & the legacy extensions for sometime till I can get Chrome to behave to my liking. Thank you once again Baton34 for your efforts to keep this amazing extension going for as long as was possible.
The main reason I had switched from IE to FF years (decade?) ago was tabbed browsing & search engine. Shame on you, Mozilla.
