There doesn't seem to be an independent choice of your time zone on beWelcome. All you can do is to select your language, and this will affect the time zone. In particular when you're travelling, the time zone might not match anymore. And messages you send and receive will have the time zone attached, of your language selection.

@boroli: That there is no separate timezone selection is correct. That that means the timezone is deduced from your language settings is wrong.

The existing timezone setting wasn't taken into account in the code and therefore hidden for the time being.

That that means the timezone is deduced from your language settings is wrong.

What timezone do you then use for the message time stamps? How do you determine it? Or is it just UTC? It's at least not my local time zone.

At least the formatting of the time stamps changes with the language setting. Which is still another limitation, that I can't select the time formatting independently either.
