How to efficiently insert/update a large number of records

I have the following document

class MyDocument(Document):
    group_id: str
    item: str 
    value: float

    class Settings:
        indexes = [
            IndexModel([("group_id", 1), ("item", 1)], unique=True)
        ]

As defined in the indexes, there's a unique restriction on the combination of (group_id, item). My use case involves adding a large number of documents. Some documents are new (ie novel (group_id, item) pair) - I want to simply insert these. Some are existing documents (defined by the (group_id, item) pair) that I want to update with a new value.

What is the most efficient way to perform this? Is there a way to use BulkWriter?
