At the March 2021 Fulmo Hacksprint a few members from the community collaborated with @bumi on the Lightning Browser Extension. The project as it's name suggests is a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox and Edge, and it enables payments to "content publishers" and management of allowances for those sites that the users set. It's able to make these payments as it connects to a remote lightning node.
The output from the project over that weekend was a user journey (miro) and a mockup using the Bitcoin UI Kit.
There is also a design opportunity to figure out how to retrieve the content that was previously paid for, and how authentication / identities could play a part in this browser wallet.
Brief update on this issue. The project is doing fantastic, has a dedicated Discord channel and hosts various calls in the community. So the collaboration is strong, just not a lot of updates here on this issue.
