Kicks and bans log but don’t actually kick or ban

I’m having an issue where my bans and kicks log on discord but don’t do anything in game. I’ve tried everything from refreshing perms to taking them away and getting them back uninstalling the game. I’m lost at what to do and my friend is also experiencing this and no one I’ve had help me has ever heard of this happening.
