I'm an absolute audio noob (I have no idea what you just asked me)

Please use menuconfig to configure your wifi credentials as provisioning is done through improv wifi. Or you could try https://sonocotta.github.io/esparagus-snapclient/

Edit: DAC is short for digital to analog converter.
