I think a new /system channel type to show system messages that pertain to you (timeouts, subbing, getting a sub, etc.) from all open channels would be pretty cool. (Or add this functionality to /mentions, that works too)

Use a filter for single channels. For all maybe you could create a highlight and filter /mentions
