since the later is twice the size of the prior and much slower

good idea!
if so, slower computer can get great, small nets on time!

Hello!
Sorry for being away so long, but RL.
I won't be training 9x192 now -- not enough resources. Maybe in the future. But training data is available here and I can provide restore information of last good 9x192 network for anyone who would like to try!
