Details

FOSS Sustainability Fund helps to ensure that free and open source software projects and the communities that sustain them have the resources and support needed for long-term maintenance, security, and community well-being. Funding awards are performance-based contracts signed directly with the applicant or applicants. Funding is dispersed upon completion of stated objectives, activities, and deliverables as outlined in the contract.

Open Infrastructure Fund (pilot) at a glance:

• 🗃️ Areas: The Fund is available to all internet freedom FOSS tools, apps, open standards, protocols, and libraries.
• 🌍 Where you are based: Individuals or organizations* (for-profit or nonprofit) anywhere in the world.
• 📄 Eligibility: Active maintenance, been released for at least 3 years, substantial base of active users
• 💰 Level of funding: $150,000 to $400,000 USD
• 📅 Duration of award: for approximately 24 months
• ⏰ Deadline for applications: May 17, 2024
