Is there any documentation for building custom forex.analytics indicators?

I'd like to try a couple of things out and would like to test different SMA periods, I've poked around and it looks like this builds from ./node_modules/forex.analytics/src/indicators/SMA.cpp

The period times are 15 and 50, I'd like to make a couple of new ones and test them out. What's the best way to go about this? (I'm not really familiar with node at all, I can tear into the install process further if need be.)

Also, is this the best place to ask questions like this?

I think I've got this worked out, it's in the forex project and it looks like it's best to fork it and install from there. Sorry for the clutter!
