Describe the bug - I cannot make a pattern piece. I click on Piece from the left hand menu, select all the points and when I click on "Piece" in the upper menu it tells me "You can't use Piece mode yet. Please, create at least one pattern piece first". I even went so far as to make a square, clicked on all points in a clockwise matter and it still tells me I can't use piece mode. This is happening on anything new I create but does not happen when I try to make a pattern piece from an older file I created. It is almost like once I click on a new point it forgets I clicked on the previous point.
How To Reproduce the bug
What should have happened - it should have taken me to the screen where I look at my pattern piece to make a layout.
Screenshots - one screenshot is after I clicked on A4, A7, A6 - it is acting like I skipped A7, the other is after I clicked all points and clicked on "Piece" at top...

I have another issue I did e mail about - for some reason my version of Seamly is running in debug mode so after 3 days of using the program and making layouts seamly had created nearly 300 GB of logs on my computer. I have not been able to create pattern pieces since then. I deleted the logs to be able to function on my computer...

After selecting points in a clockwise manner, you must press the "Enter" to create the piece. There are instructions on the bottom left of the window that indicates how to use each tool. In this case it says "Press Enter to finish piece creation". Did you try that?
