All aggregates of metric queries that can be calculated using a joined spatial aggregate query should also be available as non-spatial aggregates (i.e. aggregate values over all subscribers in the metric query, without any spatial grouping).

I guess this is actually kind of available already, in that one can use admin0 as the aggregation.
