Batch process slower than singular?

Hi,
I noticed when processing 1 singular image 1920x1080 by itself I get a solid 1sec time to process.
But when I batch process a set of say 20x images it jumps up to 2.5seconds per image.

Just wondering why the increased time to process? I guess there's a logical reason for it and just curious why.

Via what Tab? txt2img, img2img or Extras?
Maybe you check "Save original" option ON?

Im using the extras tab specifically but I remember doing some tests with the other tabs where it was the same. Unless my memory is off.
But yeah, extras tab, definitely slower

There is no save original option in the extras tab either

Tested again using the new safetensors face input

Gender Detection: Off
Restore Face: Codeformer
Restore Face Visibility: 1
Codeformer Weight: 1
Face Model: test.safetensors

Time to process 1x image = 1.1s
Time to process 10x images = 2.38s/per image
*Ran both tests multiple times and averaged result

Around 2x slower when using batch image processing compare to single image
