The build products can be uploaded to GitHub and installed directly from there for a trustworthy experience, especially when out-of-date versions aren't available in VSCodium's extension list.
Makes it easier to see what the latest release version is.
Makes it easy to go back in time and explore a specific release version.
It's a good way to trigger CI tools to publish to applicable places.
