Summary

This session should determine the following:

• list of target personas and their characteristics.
• Assess how each persona aligns with the hackathon’s objectives.
• Determine the potential impact of involving each persona on the event’s success.
• Consider the feasibility of recruiting and engaging each persona.
• Create specific messages and value propositions for each persona.
• Identify the most effective channels to reach each persona, such as social media, email campaigns, partnerships with organizations, etc.

Which group should we target?

• Students: Particularly those in fields related to public policy, social work, and technology.
• Grant Writers: Professionals who specialize in writing and securing grants.
• Underserved Populations: Communities that have historically faced barriers in accessing federal grants.
• Nonprofit Organizations: Representatives from nonprofits who frequently apply for federal grants.
• Community Leaders: Individuals who can act as advocates and bridges to underserved communities.
• Open Source Developers: unaffiliated individuals with coding skills.

Acceptance criteria

A document has been created that contains decisions made in this series of meetings. It should have the personas that we are targeting for recruitment, as well as some runners up that we can target if we are unable to fully recruit for the event with just the personas targeted.
