The OECD DAC Codelist "Type of Finance" now* includes:

@bill-anderson - should these be added to FinanceType ?

To clarify slightly:
This would mean altering 2 non-embedded codelists:
http://iatistandard.org/codelists/FinanceType/
http://iatistandard.org/codelists/FinanceType-category/

We have a procedure for making decisions for this:
http://iatistandard.org/codelists/codelist-management/#non-embedded-codelists

This issues is also raised on the support forum:

Do we actually need these codes in IATI as they would appear to relate to countries rather than organisational transactions - see http://www.oecd.org/development/stats/statisticsonresourceflowstodevelopingcountries.htm (table 1)?

When would/should we use these values in IATI reporting?

I understand this could be an element that is CRS specific - but having it in an IATI file would mean it could be easier to then convert IATI>CRS.

@bill-anderson can clarify

This is agency-specific. not activity-specific. It is a CRS kludge. I think we should add it to the org standard in 2.02

@bill-anderson If this is a proposal for a future 2.02 upgrade then it needs updated on the support forum. Currently this is in Modifications, improvements etc, but there is not a note to say this should be considered in 2.02. If that is the case you should add a note there. (and if you wanted create a 2.02 forum and mopve it there)

DAC codelists have been updated since 2014. If there's an outstanding issue needing an IATI upgrade please add the proposal to Discuss: https://discuss.iatistandard.org/c/standard-management
