Add an artist resources page
Tutorials
-> really like the idea of thumbnails of the first part of tutorials, so it's visible what it is (NOT JUST TEXT LINKS!)
... also need to start compiling a list of tutorials

Awesome idea!

Some questions to help us get it fleshed out:

  • Are we writing these resources or collecting them from elsewhere?
  • Do we have a focus in what kinds of resources we have? (Ie, making fun things in GIMP vs Making money from art or art technology)
  • is this formatted like a blog? a wiki?
  • should this be under quail comics, or is this the first inkpebble thing?

  • Mostly collecting from elsewhere. I don't consider myself good enough to make tutorials. Though we should have some basics on using our platform and maybe some light html/css/django stuff.
  • Would mostly like to focus on technical drawing skills (not "gimp effects"), but if you come across making money articles/we want to write some that would be cool to have too.
  • Neither a blog nor wiki- I'll try to show you what I had in mind. Text descriptions + links are about the worst thing for visually oriented tutorials. I really want to move away from that.
  • Inkpebble!

I agree that walls/lists of text are bad. My gut is that we're going to need a combination of original content and curation to get people in the door.

Building out this site, as well as doing an email digest version, is potentially a fantastic way to build a customer base, so I'm excited about the idea of making this our gateway. That would mean we need to spend a fair amount of time creating a curating good content for it.
