What is Fantome ?

Fantome is will be a brand new tool for creating and using modifications for League of Legends.

Why should I bother using Fantome instead of Wooxy ?

Fantome is planned to be way more feature-rich and faster than Wooxy. Wooxy is slowly dying due to it not being developed anymore.

Why not continue developing Wooxy ?

Wooxy has a very bad codebase and is coded in VB.NET, which if made open-source, would not attract almost anybody to develop it.

What features will Fantome offer ?

We plan to support every file format that exists in League of Legends, and an editor for it aswell (if possible).

Fantome will have a very robust plugin system which will allow anybody to develop and share their own tools for Fantome.

Beware though, Fantome is not planned to be very user friendly unlike Wooxy.

This GitHub organization will also host many other tools such as Obsidian and Flow which will become Fantome plugins, a brand new Maya Plugin and more.

Currently planned features (and tools) include:

  • Modification Installing and Sharing
  • Plugin System
  • Model Editor
  • Map Editor (support for all map formats including SimpleEnvironment (NVR), WorldGeometry (WGEO) and MapGeometry (MGEO))
  • Attribute Editor (Very Robust BIN editor)
  • WAD Editor
  • Particle Editor (very unlikely to happen though)
  • Sound Editor (WPK and BNK)
  • BLND Editor (who put this in ? fuck you)

Cool, when's the release ?

Unfortunately I cannot tell you this as it is very hard to say.

The planned release date is some time after Riot switches to a new archiving system for the whole game (from RADS to WAD).

Don't cry yet though, there will still be external tools developed before Fantome releases.

Is there any way I can help ?

If you are not a developer then fear not, there is an Issues page on our GitHub to which you can submit bugs for us to fix, or features to add.

However, if you are a developer, you can help us by contributing to Fantome and it's libraries in this organization.
