Is your proposal related to a problem?

The normal way of browsing posts leads to an uncontrolled frequency of viewing posts on Lemmy, which potentially makes it addictive.

Describe the solution you'd like.

Add an option for email digests with customizable frequency, size, community filter type, and sort.

#4776 is a better solution for viewing the newest posts.

This would def be a nice to have. Kind of overlaps with RSS, but could still be useful.
