Bio Branch Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

In order to foster an open and inclusive environment, we as contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in our project and community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive and supportive environment include:

  • Respect: Treating others with kindness, acknowledging different viewpoints, and honoring all contributions.
  • Inclusivity: Using inclusive language and creating a space that welcomes all individuals, encouraging participation.
  • Constructive Feedback: Offering and receiving feedback that is designed to help improve and foster growth.
  • Collaboration: Engaging in teamwork, supporting others, and sharing knowledge freely to uplift the community.

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • Harassment or Discrimination: Any form of offensive or inappropriate comments, including those related to personal characteristics.
  • Disrespectful Conduct: Trolling, inflammatory remarks, or dismissing others’ contributions and ideas.
  • Threats or Intimidation: Engaging in any behavior that causes fear or discomfort for others.

Our Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for upholding these standards and will take appropriate action in response to unacceptable behavior. This may include editing, removing, or rejecting comments, code, issues, or any contributions that do not align with the Code of Conduct, as well as banning individuals from the project in severe cases.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces and in public spaces when an individual is representing the project or its community. Representation can include, but is not limited to, using an official project email address, posting on social media, or attending an event as a representative of the project.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior can be reported by contacting the project team at [insert contact information]. All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly, with confidentiality maintained for the reporter.
