Some ideas on view configuring #76
Comments
It's already slated (#64) to have views remembered between sessions, in addition to all the other settings on the home page. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the list falls below the popup menu". Once there are too many views you have to scroll up or down to see them all? |
The list of views that has already been selected gets covered up by the list you are selecting from. So you can't see both at once. |
Thank you - that is certainly not necessary. If I have selected "not annotated by anyone", then I won't see them anyway. Joe has updated the version, so I will take a look. |
Ah, you mean when you open the classification or tag dropdown, it covers up the other views you've already selected? I could make the dropdown always go down, instead of sometimes becoming a "dropup". Then all the views above the one you're changing should still be visible. Would that be helpful? |
I've been working with a student on subdividing chaetoceros, and reviewing his work. We have ~10 views to add. Every time we want to look at a different time period or start over for any reason, we have to re-add each view, which is fairly tedious. In addition, after several are added, the list then falls below the popup menu and you can't see for sure what's already been added while you are selecting the next one.
Would the view selection be better with check boxes? That would also allow you to "select all", and then deselect just a few if needed.
Would it be possible to remember views? Or create custom view sets?
