In general it should just work. Here are some additional things to do:

Introduce a bf16 similar to f16 -- works via pkg extensions
Extensive Testing
- Lux
- Upstream in LuxLib -- Switch Float16 tests to BFloat16 LuxLib.jl#109
Usage Examples
Downstream Challenges
- LuxLib.jl test: BFloat16 testing LuxLib.jl#115
- Enzyme.jl doesn't support BFloat16

Support will be via https://github.com/JuliaMath/BFloat16s.jl
