👋 Hi!
We've started an effort to modernize parts of our SDK usage (start small, build momentum...) and at this stage we're targeting moving our dependencies on Azure storage SDKs forward to current SDK offerings. For example, see these PRs (with more in the works in NuGet/ServerCommon and elsewhere):
Part of this work would be to update Elmah table usage to use new storage SDKs. However, given the age of this code and how infrequently we find ourselves using its tables, we are retiring them. See #10021.
BUT! We don't exist in a vacuum and others in the NuGet community have installations of NuGetGallery. Some may even wish to continue using Elmah tables for error logging. If this is case for you, please:
We can reinstate the Elmah code and upgrade it to use the new SDK if there are enough folks who still use it. We'd also invite your thoughts if you would like Elmah's logging to be replaced with Application Insights events.
