Are we planning to create an ethical committee for the glider community? I think we should have and be on terms (every two years or something like that).
Also, @castelao suggests: How to select the members, how to rotate, ...?

I would suggest to keep it as simple as possible. We already have an OceanGliders BP Task Team with chair and co-chair. We should first share with them any issue we feel uncomfortable with and try to figure it out with them. Then, if we really feel it necessary we could do the same with the OceanGliders Steering Team.
I think it would be good to have a diverse list of people, who are active on GitHub i.e. repo leads, who agree to be able to be reached in case of violation of the CoC.
People might want to reach out to those they trust. Thus it would be good to have many volunteers in my view. We could mention them below the CoC.
