vba help pleeeeeease?

Hi! i have a GBA game that freezes when i try to play it with gba... i'm told it works with vba and the emulators page says it supports VBA NEXT but i can't figure out how it works.. can someone please help me?

Press Y while you have the game selected in the game list (this open GLO). Select Game core -> VBA Next.
