From @jimav

This is a bug report for perl from jim.avera@gmail.com,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.40 running under perl 5.20.2.

If POD contains B<some bold text> and the string ends up being
split across multiple lines, the emboldening stops happening
at the end of the first line.

This may be a bug in 'perldoc' or something else, not sure.
I'm running Ubuntu 15.10. I tried both gnome_terminal and xterm
and the problem shows in both.

Please save the following and run "perldoc <path>" to see.

#!/usr/bin/perl

Confirmed.

It should be noted that when I run this thru pod2html, it DTRT; see http://thenceforward.net/perl/misc/127338-bold.html

Further, when I pipe this through pod2man, it too DTRT.

'perldoc' is part of the Pod::Perldoc distribution, which is maintained upstream on CPAN. I have moved this report to that distribution's bug tracker:

https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=111388

Closing this ticket. Thanks for the report.
