This is a research for xorg on Gentoo using USE="-*" on amdgpu, debugging on chroot environment.

Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console

• Kernel configuration is correct assuming that same configuration worked on profile use flags. -> recompiling just to be sane.
• udev?
  • is emerged.. ?
• system didn't change resolution once booted -> AMDGPU not loaded, confirmed in lspci -k | grep kernel.
  • radeonsi is disabled in grub and not loaded.
  • xauth?
    • Seems sane?

xauth: file /home/kreyren/.serverauth.16067 does not exist

• from https://www.starnet.com/xwin32kb/error-in-locking-authority-file/ invoked sudo chmod 400 .Xauthority -> same issue -r-------- 1 kreyren kreyren 103 Feb 5 05:37 .Xauthority -> not a permission issue with .Xauthority

• from https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=856351 https://www.systutorials.com/docs/linux/man/5-Xwrapper.config/ created /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config with allowed_users=console -> same issue
  • allowed_users=anybody (seems insane) -> same issue
  • Removed Xwrapper.config

^CCouldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console

nano /etc/portage/package.use/00-custom.use -> Segmentation fault

• File is present and non-corrupted -> nano broken? -> confirmed broken nano -> re-emerging needs optimization.. nano works in different chroot.. wth? killed broken chroot using new chroot -> re-emerging nano with optimization anyway
• app-editors/nano magic spell unicode nls ncurses is set in package.use and nano is reemerged.
