Controller's don't work when playing a steam game

Tested with Stray(v1.3)
even without any .pak mods for it to load neither the x360 wired
nor the x1 elite (wireless) controller work.

both work when launched without unrealModLoader.

After playing (mouse+keyboard) to a cut-scene the controller started to work again. Very peculiar.

I have the same issue but my problem doesn't solve after a cutscene.

Right after I commented on this issue the problem disappeared. It seems that the solution to the problem is to write a reply to this issue and somehow it makes it work lmao.
