Future of DS4Windows

Hello, Ryochan7, nice to see that you are back.

Not sure if you remember but I'm from the CircumSpector team, along wiki Mika-n, Nefarius and others.

Because we have also been working on DS4Windows we are curious with what are your plans going forward. If possible, would you participate in a group reunion so we can have some real-time chat? We'd like to update you on what are the plans on our side and show what we've been working on, as well as discuss the future of the project as a whole. I was even planning on releasing a "v3.1.x" version with some small bug-fixes before this repository was re-opened.

If you are interested, we'd like to ask you to join the ViGEm Discord Server so we can create a private thread or channel there for this topic. If you are against using Discord we'd like to ask you what other form of communication we can have with you.

I'm not sure what I want to do with DS4Windows right now. There are a few fixes from my little experiments over the months that might benefit other people. Oddly enough, lately I have been using my Steam Controller more and messing around with ideas using it. Ended up making a mostly usable substitute for the Steam Input mapper that functions more to my liking and actually makes the Steam Controller usable for me. Currently playing Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion; been wanting to play that game again for years.

I guess I can hop on Discord later. I would have to make a new account since I nuked my Discord account when I shut down the DS4Windows Discord server. Didn't think I would ever use Discord again so I thought there was no reason to keep an account.

I love the idea behind the Steam controller. Really wish I could get my hands on one of them, but it's basically impossible to get them at a reasonable price here in Brazil.

Regarding discord, just give us a way to confirm your identity after you join the server, ok?

It doesn't matter anymore. I guess I am going to continue playing this life game on Dark Souls difficulty. I am just going to have to do things my own way otherwise they won't get done.

Going to continue any maintenance I want to do on this repo for the next few months. I need to get to abstracting the Mapper class for my other mapper project to finally add Switch Pro (again) and DS4 support. Been working on property overriding for child Action instances for a long time. That project is where my main focus will be.
