Weird rumble on PS5 Controller

I set the emulated controller to XBox360. But when getting rumble in game or using the Test-Buttons in DS4Windows I get only very short bursts of rumble.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

Strange. I wonder if your real controller (DualSense) is being picked by both DS4Windows and another app at the same time, and then both are sending conflicting instructions (DS4W saying to rumble, the other saying to stop).

Before anything, it's always good to test if the DualSense's firmware is updated.

It would be good to test as such:

1. Hide your REAL controller so only DS4Windows can detect it
   • For more info on how to do so: Preventing the double controller / double input issue in games
2. Create a profile in DS4Windows with Virtual Controllers disabled
3. Reconnect your controller, then check that NO controllers are being picked by the Gamepad Tester Website
   • This way, it is impossible to anything instruct the controller to stop rumbling
4. Test on DS4Windows Profile Editor's "Other" tab if rumble functions as normal
5. If it functions as normal, activate DS4Windows' virtual Xbox 360 controller, then test in the Gamepad Tester Website again if it can make the controller rumble as normal
   • Gamepad tester has a rumble button, test it there. Controller should rumble for roughly 1s
6. Reply back with the results

thanks a lot for your help.
I updated my controller and then an idea popped in my mind. I use SIGNALRGB to control my RGB-Stuff in my PC(yes, I know, shame on me 😅 ), and also the Lightbar on my DualSense. So I disabled the control of the LED in SIGNALRGB and lo and behold, now it works like it should. So now I have to control the Lightbar with DS4Windows, but i have rumble back 😃

Nice to know that the issue has been solved. We need to start making a list of apps that can interfere with DS4Windows usage

I'm curious if this is only an issue because of vigem not using the full report packet. Maybe this is fixed in the awaitoutbuffer branch with the newer vigem driver?

No. The vigem ds4 issue only has consequence if emulating a ds4 controller. The user was emulating a Xbox 360.
