The current right-hand opening Help page can be changed into an iFrame linking to a webpage by URL - eg. www.STEPBible.org?frame=www.DOMAIN.com/WEBPAGE.htm
This would make it easy to make changes to this opening page or switch to different pages so that different features can be highlighted at different times.

The iFrame could also display all kinds of different things:

  • Help pages introducing different aspects of the software
  • How-to pages with specific instructions for more complex tasks
  • Groups of dropdowns to construct complex searches for different purposes
Individuals would also be able to create their own pages to open here, so they could make:
  • Bible study guides for church groups
  • Reading plans
  • Summaries of talks with links to passages
  • Personal study notes with links to passages (eg in a Google Doc files)
I would also like to add features to enhance STEPBible, such as:
  • Synoptic parallels with links to the passages
  • Summaries of the Bible to help newbies find the passages they want
  • maps with links to passages
  • History visualisation with links to passages
