I decided I wanted to make some kickbox charts for fun, so I switched my game mode to kickbox and went in the editor to create a chart for a song. After choosing a song and a kickbox mode, I tried to create a chart... except Outfox never loaded the chart editor. Instead, the screen went black for a few seconds, and then the game suddenly closed itself without warning. This happens on every kickbox mode regardless of whether you attempt to create a new chart or edit an already-existing one.
Make sure your game mode is set to kickbox. If not, go to the game mode screen and scroll to the bottom where the kickbox mode is located and choose it.
Enter the Editor and choose Edit/Create Songs
Select a song, any song, and try to create a kickbox chart for it. This can be on any mode. You can also try to edit an already existing kickbox chart.
After you choose the option to enter the song editor, the screen will go black for a couple seconds, and then the game will crash.

When installing, have you selected SM5Noteskins to actually have kickbox noteskin?
I checked the installer for both of the latest releases of Outfox (0.4.16.0 as well as Alpha V date-20220826), and in both of the drop-down menus for the Outfox noteskins and the SM5 noteskins, I didn't see any option to include kickbox noteskins. When installing with all noteskins enabled, which is what I did, no kickbox skins appear to come by default - there isn't even a folder for them. This is odd, though, considering that StepMania 5.1 came with kickbox noteskins right out of the gate.
On the other hand, simply copying the kickbox skins folder over from StepMania 5.1 into the NoteSkins folder of the Appearance folder solved the crash issue. The issue was simply that no kickbox skins came with the game even when I selected all the NoteSkin options in the installer. Perhaps you guys forgot to include them? Maybe I'm just going crazy here.
