Great mod. Here are some suggestions how to make it even better:

Add some visual indication on higher lev towers (like a star each 10).
Add some visual indication if a Mine/Siphon/University is connected (or not connected). Also show how many connected while placing.
Del for removing selected tower. Holding backspace and clicking removes fast.
