[Ubuntu 22.04.5] Can't save new files, only modify/save pre-existing .srt

I use Tero mostly for .srt subtitling and only because it's available on Mac, Windoze and Linux so I don't have to remember different settings/shortcuts/quirks.

However, on Linux (and precisely the Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS distro), I have an annoying problem: every time I create (or try to) a new .srt file I get this: «Access violation. Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption. Press Abort to kill the program.»

If I click on Abort the program shuts down. If I click on OK, nothing at all is saved, not even an empty file. This happens even with the command "save as..."

So I have to create the .srt file with another program. Which somehow undermines my attempts at using just one software for one thing only but on different operating systems. :/

I even tried an excessively "clean" install of Tero Subtitler, with the latest version (1.0.1.9), by moving the old tero files in the trash and decompressing the zipfile in a new folder in my home dir.

The problem persists. I did not have any custom keystrokes saved, and renaming the Tero.key in /ShortCuts/ didn't do much to solve/alleviate the problem.

What should I do?

This bug happens only under Ubuntu... I didn't have that problem on MacOsX. For Windoze 11, I'd have to reboot and check in a few hours. ^_^
