Hi, thanks for this great project. I wonder about the source of your database and when/if you are working on an update?

Thanks. I wonder whether, if there is still a need for an open data base, we could write an importer that downloads and analyzes all the (openly available and legally OK) emission test databases issued by the various governments. I know that at least the US and France do publish these in a structured format.

I've never heard of such a database. Where did you see that?

Thanks

USA: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/ws/index.shtml
USA: https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/api/
UK: http://www.keeresources.co.uk/data/free-vehicle-data/
FRANCE: http://data.opendatasoft.com/explore/dataset/vehicules-commercialises@public/?tab=table&sort=puissance_maximale

These could be aggregated to form a "definite" open car database.
