Basic logistics

Event preparation

  • Look over the spreadsheet and filter by the event; broaden if necessary
  • Pick 4-5 wants to be presented (reference them in a comment below for tracking)
  • Reach out to the submitters and ask if they will present in person or if they’d like to pre-record a presentation (if they can’t be there) - details here
  • Assemble the deck using the provided template
  • Update the event page with the wants being presented
  • Set up polling (using PollJunkie or similar)
  • Have the emcee familiarize themselves with the event script

Day of

  • Merge presenter slides into the master deck
  • Check A/V setup
  • Make sure everyone knows where to be & when to be there
  • Present the session
  • Add the winners in this thread
  • Update the event file with the winners
  • Contact the prize sponsors to let them know who won and how to contact them
