Hi,

Thought to send a message about a conflict that arose after I installed a plugin called ARMEMBER.

One of its functions, a lost password form, was not showing when called in the site.

The other forms of the plugin work fine.

So, I went through the debug process, I deactivated all plugins and then, one by one, reactivated each and tested for the ARMEMBER Form.

When Yoast was activated, the problem with the ARMember Form occurred i.e. the form did not show/work.

Turned Yoast off, and the ARMember form worked fine.

The priority, due to being a Membership site, is to keep ARMember activated/working.

Can the ARMember Plugin be added to Yoast for exclusion to avoid this conflict else, we cannot continue to use Yoast?

Many Thanks

Hi @Richard399

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin and for creating the issue. The issue you have noticed would be mostly because you have enabled any Advanced crawl settings within the Crawl optimization settings page of Yoast SEO plugin or by a conflict within the ARMember. As the issue occurs with the ARMember Form plugin, we recommend you reach out to the respective plugin author to make the respective plugin compatible with Yoast SEO. In case you have reached out to the respective plugin author and if they have noticed any specific issue, please share more details with us to take a closer look for you.

Please don't hesitate to contact us back if you have further concerns. We are happy to help.

Hi,

I'm obliged to you for the response,

"The issue you have noticed would be mostly because you have enabled any Advanced crawl settings within the Crawl optimization settings page of Yoast SEO plugin ..."

Currently, I'm using only the free version and not using the Advanced Setting Feature.

When deactivated, there is no issue

I have, as suggested, contacted ARMEMBER to see if there's a way such forms can be excluded or indeed, if Yoast has a configuration where the form URL can be added to an exclusion list.

Many Thanks

Hi @Richard399

Thanks for getting back to us. The Yoast SEO plugin does not provide an option to exclude any URL or cause any issue with the form. The only option that may cause issues with page loading is if the page URL contains some parameters and if you have enabled the "Remove Unregistered parameter URLs" option but haven't added the parameters to the allowlist below it. That's why I asked to check this. As you are not using those features, it would be due to some issues with the ARMember Form would be the reason for this. So, could you contact the respective plugin author to check this further? If you notice any issue specific to Yoast SEO plugin after checking this further, please let us know.
