The "Recordings" Spreadsheet contains a table with places. Currently this is fetched from the VICAV geodata document at https://github.com/acdh-oeaw/vicav-content/blob/master/vocabs/places.xml. Since the most up-to-date version of this document is curated within the WIBARAB repository, the SHAWI place list should be sourced from there.
