Install extension - Installation failed

I just installed Sprint 34 and from the get-go, I've been unable to install any extensions whatsoever. It only brings up the message below.

Opening the devtools console shows the following messages:

@aniforprez - from the log it looks like the node server that Brackets launches isn't initializing properly. If you quit and restart Brackets, do you get the same behavior and console errors?

Yes, the same error message comes despite restarting the software and even reinstalling it.

Actually scratch this. It was my antivirus being stupid and blocking the brackets process from connecting.

Ah, that explains it :) Thanks for letting us know--if we see someone else with a similar issue in future we can ask them to check antivirus/firewalls as well.
