Should be /home/username/.config/Brackets.

Which extension were you trying to install? To read the brackets error log, when brackets is running, go to http://localhost:9234.

@ngatcharius do you use sudo brackets to start Brackets? Did you try brackets without sudo?

That's certainly a bug, there should only be 1 brackets folder. It shouldn't break the extension install workflow though. I'm able to install extensions on ubuntu with Sprint 35. You could try deleting both brackets and Brackets in your .config folder if you're willing to reinstall extensions again.

As @ingorichter said, try running brackets without sudo.
