Chris pointed: #4024 thar improve the JDBC abstraction and with that could be possible to have this.

We would also need this but as a destination since we think that our databases is supported as sources but not destination.

Was this ever looked into? I have a use case for a Progress OpenEdge DB for which this might be useful (in leu of an actual OE Connector)
