Asyncio for asynchronous requests

Hi everybody,

It appears that this new library is not using asyncio. The old library, however, used asyncio already for various functions and announced the extended use of it in the future.

This makes me wonder about the reasons behind this choice and whether this library will provide async functions in the future.

Do you have any information that you could share?
