Motivation / Problem to Solve

This project is part of a larger effort to improve how error messages are displayed in Superset. For details, see the related SIPs:
SIP-40
SIP-41

In this project, we improve how error messages as displayed in Superset, when a network error occurs

Proposed solution

  • implement logic that detects changes in the network's availability and informs the user when the application goes offline (network connection is off) or comes back online (network connection is on)
  • replace the current notification with a new design based on the entire project's design
