Hey, I intend to setup an ARK Cluster with Island, Scorched, Aberration, Extinction and both Genesis Maps for a small group (~5 players)

What do you think I'll need in terms of hardware to properly run this? Currently have a 4c/16GB Server at hand but I have no issue upgrading

Each server instance needs anywhere between 3GB and 8GB of memory. Server instances usually have the majority of their load on 1 or 2 threads, and primarily only when starting up or doing something involving e.g. lots of dinos.

With 16GB and 6 game server instances, you will almost certainly want at least 16GB of swap. Otherwise, provided the players aren't each stressing the game on a different instance, 4 cores should theoretically be sufficient for a small group.

Might be old but if your planning to load the official saves, you can see as much as 60+ GB of ram for the 5GB save files. I've been able to get a full 12 map cluster going but after a month or so of a lot of 'omg lets do it' and then most everyone going to ASA and the hell that is, now i just run a few maps for myself and swap them in and out as needed. My server has 384GB of ram so honestly i dont have issues with ram.

BTW, in linux you need to add the i386 architecture and lib32gcc1 should be lib32gcc-s1 if it complains about not finding package named lib32gcc1.
