I am trying to package sopt-4.0.1 for Debian.

The tests for sopt-4.0.1 take a really long time: on my computer they are not finished yet, after > 2 hours. While this may be helpful for development, it makes the tests unusable as a quick tests to see that everything goes well after having it compiled.

Would it be possible to specify a selection of tests (or parameters) which can be finished within a few minutes even on slower computers, which can be used as build time tests?

@mmcleod89 @tkoskela @20DM could you comment on this? Perhaps we could set a minimal set of tests for some installs?
