After Update from January 27th 2022 Android app crashes at start in offline mode

After last update to 2.2.0.1303-QA_276 for Android app the app regularly crashes when being started without upright connection to the internet. The obvious change was implementation of infection numbers to the app.
Before it was possible to start the app in offline mode e.g. just to see when last upload/check was made.

I am currently on a (very old) Samsung S4 (jvfelte) running Lineage OS 18.1(`lineage_jfvelte-userdebug 11 RQ3A.211001.001 10039300) which is an Android 11 with patchlevel January 2022
