More strange ideas...

  • NSToolbar:

    • Scrollable (with StackView gravity areas), like a TouchBar
    • Compatible with existing NSToolbarItems
    • Hover/force touch for quick preview or hover item
    • No overflow menu

  • NSMenu:

    • Something like Xcode's popover (list embedded in a scrollview)
    • Search on the top!
    • Drill-down submenus by push-left animation
    • Compatible with existing NSMenuItems
