When trying to setup Cloudfront I'm getting this error:

There was an error retrieving DNS records for validating domain ownership. Try again.

The following response was returned:
Caught exception in method AmazonAI_Cloudformation::get_dv_dns_info in class AmazonAI_Cloudformation:
Found 1 error while validating the input provided for the DescribeCertificate operation: [CertificateArn] expected string length to be >= 20, but found string length of 0

Environment:

  • Bitnami wordpress distribution in Lightsail
  • PHP v7.3.11
  • Domain hosted in cloudflare (proxy off, DNS only)

What does it mean, and how can I solve it? There are not many instructions to follow up.

You are not alone with this issue. Unfortunately the "normal" support (not premium) from AWS could not help me. Have you found a solution for the issue in the meantime?

@Phipsomatik I created the Cloudfront distribution myself.
